4-car set of the iconic British Rail Class 43 Inter-city HST in LNER (London North Eastern Railway) livery. A striking red & silver livery that will look amazing in any layout scenario whether you are running UK East Coast or not.
Owned by the UK Government's Department for Transport the Inter-city East Coast franchise changed hands from Virgin Trains to LNER in June 2018 and they opted to keep the eye-catching red livery, changing only the name on its fleet of Inter-city HST's until their retirement from 30 years of service in December 2019, being replaced by the new Azuma diesel-electric hybrids.
The Set comprises:
(2x) Power Cars - Both motorised on 16 Metre (35.5mm) Shicoh driven chassis featuring bi-directional lighting.
(2x) Mk3 First Class Carriages L & M.
LNER run 11 cars on a full rake so expect an extension pack or two to complement the set.
