Left Hand One-way Turnout in Grey for raised roadbed track. Length 90mm.
Train can travel from either of the two adjacent tracks on to the straight section, and then remains on the straight section with the ability to travel on this in either direction.

Great Idea!
I have a switching shuttle service traveling on an eastbound spur, crossing over to a last stop, and then reversing on the westbound spur, crossing over to that last stop, and then repeating the cycle. Although it's a point to point switching layout, with auto reverse sensors at both last stops, the layout basically functions as a loop. These one way turnouts help me accomplish my goal, and they simplify things by not needing power or manual switching to get the locomotives where they need to go. My only problem is that my test locomotive tends to derail on this turnout when headed from the single spur into the Y. This happens if I run the train too fast. Slower speeds are more reliable, but the locomotive will still derail about every 5 crossings. Working to see why this occurs. |
